The students will understand the major religious revivals and movements in American history. The students will identify the characteristics and leaders of the great awakenings, civil war revivals, the social gospel movement, the rise of Christian liberal theology, the second Vatican council, and the rise of Christian fundamentalism through the jeopardy review game.

Lesson Introduction
The teacher will break the student into three groups based on their predetermined seating groups. The teacher will advise the students of the review Jeopardy game rules, and prepare the students for the review game, which will prepare the students for a test on the lesson.
Vocabulary
The students will learn the vocabulary in the Jeopardy game. The students will ask the teacher to clarify any unclear vocabulary when answering the Jeopardy question. The Vocabulary will include, but not be limited to the following vocabulary words.

Content Delivery
The teacher will deliver the content through the Jeopardy game. This lesson will be a review lesson to prepare for a multi lesson assessment in the form of a formal test containing both writing and multiple-choice assessments.
The teacher will moderate as the three student groups answer Jeopardy questions to compete for points. There will be sixteen questions varying from one hundred to four hundred points. The questions will cover the major religious movements, revivals, and their leaders from the 18th to the 21st Century.

Student Engagement
The students will engage the content through the Jeopardy game. The students will find the format of a Jeopardy game both challenging and engaging. The students will engage the Vocabulary by asking clarification of vocabulary definition from their team and the teacher.
Lesson Closure
The teacher will recap the major movements, revivals, and religious leaders addressed in the Jeopardy review game. The teacher will then assign a quick write, which students will complete individually. During the quick write, the student will name one religious movement and one of its key leaders, and then define the goals and impact of the movement.
Assessment
Formative- The teacher will assess student comprehension by monitoring participation in the Jeopardy game during the content delivery.
Summative- The teacher will assess student comprehension by analyzing and grading the Quick write.

Accommodations for English Learners, Struggling Readers, and Students with Special Needs
The teacher will group students in their predetermined groups were English Learners, Striving Readers, and Students with Special Needs will receive the highest level of assistance. The teacher will also provide feedback to students after the review game to increase their comprehension.
